Euro Project Set To Accelerate CPS Adoption

By Mat Dirjish

The Research institute of CEA Tech, Leti, launched the European Horizon 2020 project this year to develop cross-border services among Europe’s digital innovation hubs and speed the adoption of cyber-physical systems (CPS) by European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The project, called DigiFed, brought together 12 European research institutes, key members of the electronics-industry value chain, and universities. Its focus is on getting non-digital businesses up to speed with CPS while forming a business plan for the sustainability of the federation of hubs designated by the European Commission.

DigiFed played host to at least 200 European SMEs and midcaps. At least 80 of these will receive funding support and benefits from one of DigiFed’s innovation pathways and half of these will be businesses beginning their digital transformation. For more details and observations, visit CEA Leti.
