Popular RF Generators Get A Re-Gen

By Mat Dirjish

Saelig unveils the next generation Aim-TTi RF signal generators. Embarking as a major revision of the popular TGR 2000 series, the series consists of two models offering output signals from 150 kHz to 1.5 GHz and 150 kHz to 3 GHz and both deliver output power levels from -127dBm to +13dBm. They are also available with 50-Vdc reverse voltage protection.

Both generators include a touchscreen GUI with the 4.3” color LCD clearly. A front-mount USB flash drive allows users to load preset complex setups, sweep lists, and modulation patterns.  A 4-GB non-volatile internal memory can store up to 1000 complete setups.

Other shared features include:

  • A DDS generator providing sine, square, +ramp, -ramp, and triangle waves.
  • Support for FSK, GFSK, MSK, GMSK, HMSK, 3FSK, 4FSK, PSK, ASK, and OOK modulation.
  • NRZ patterns include square wave, 7-, 9-, 11-, 15-bit PRBS.
  • Digital modulation capabilities include Gaussian, Raised Cosine, Root Raised Cosine and Half Sine, as well as Grey Code and Binary Encoding.

Both signal generators offer remote-control connectivity for use in automated systems.  For more details and specs, visit Saelig.
