GigE Cameras Enlist Potent Image Sensors
By Mat Dirjish
Delivering high-resolution image capture, additions to Teledyne DALSA’s Genie Nano 5GigE camera portfolio rely on high-performance ON Semiconductor XGS 45 MPixel, 30 MPixel, and 20 MPixel global shutter sensors. The extended Genie Nano 5G series targets industrial imaging applications requiring high speed data capture and transfers.
Also employing the company’s TurboDrive technology, the Genie Nano 5G 45 camera can achieve full resolution image transfer at rates up to 15 fps. Coupling a compact 59 mm x 59 mm form factor, and a transition from 1GigE Vision to 5GigE Vision without the need for software changes, the latest models offer system designers an easy integration path to extend the life of an existing vision system.
Other features include monochrome and color versions, compact footprints, a Trigger-to-Image Reliability (T2IR) framework that reportedly improves the reliability of an inspection system and protects from data loss , and all-metal bodies. For more information, check out the Genie Nano 5G models.
