Collaboration Fosters Life-Saving Technology
By Mat Dirjish
Vayyar, provider of 4D radar imaging platforms, is collaborating with Israel’s Ministry of Defense to use a touchless remote monitoring system that detects and monitors vital signs that can indicate early-stage COVID-19 symptoms. Vayyar’s intelligent sensors collect data, including pulse, heart rate variability and respiratory rate, remotely without the need for person-to-person contact.
Healthcare providers can deploy the company’s intelligent sensors in homes, hospitals, factories, airports, public transportation environs, and borders to provide real-time data. Obviously, this will minimize the need for face-to-face contact, reducing the risk of exposure for both medical and non-medical personnel.
Vayyar is collaborating with Israel’s Defense Research & Development Directorate (MAFAT) and Israel’s Naval Medical Institute. Reportedly, its sensors can work in any environmental condition, unaffected by line-of-sight, lighting or weather conditions, and, since they do not use cameras, personal privacy is always protected.
